Mel Rosen and Harvey Glance

Mel Rosen, left, after twenty-eight seasons as Auburn's head track coach, turned over the reins in 1991 to his most illustrious pupil, Harvey Glance, shown wearing the Olympic Gold Medal he won at Montreal in 1976.  Rosen retired from Auburn to become head coach of the 1992 U.S. Men's Olympic Track Team, which won twenty medals, including five golds, at Barcelona for its best showing since 1956.  After the Olympics, Rosen returned to assist Coach Glance, with the title of consultant.
