Farm men and women gathered in front of Langdon Hall in August 1929.  The Auburn Alumnus said a record number attended Farmers' Week events "to get practical information about their farm and home problems, and. . .get inspiration concerning a bigger and better rural life."  Nearly everyone wore a hat.  Attendance was promoted in the Digest, monthly publication of the Extension Service.
