Neverending registration line
Date: 1949 Size: 470x366 pixels
The registration line was a way of life for Auburn students until the discovery of computers.  Some of the more than 7,284 students enrolled for fall quarter 1949 are shown waiting to register.  The line sometimes extended from the main gate, and some students waited as long as four hours to complete registration.  Auburn's highest pre-war enrollment had been 3,728 in the fall of 1940.
