Pep Rally

Supplementing the standard drums as noisemakers at this uptown pep rally in about 1905-07 were at least one dishpan, a metal lid, water buckets, several washtubs, king-sized drumsticks, unidentified horns, and a variety of megaphones.  Who knows what was in the barrel!  Nearly everybody wore a hat or a cap.  Peering from under a derby third from far right, back row, is football coach Mike Donahue.  The people looked serious, but they undoubtedly livened up again once the picture had been taken.
