About the Speaker
Nell Ruth Campbell Richardson served as Honorary Chair of Auburn University's Sesquicentennial Committee and as Auburn's First Lady. Born in Selma, AL, Mrs. Richardson earned a bachelor's degree from Auburn University in 1983 and taught English and French at several Alabama high schools and community colleges. She taught in AU's Department of English and earned an M.S. Degree in English Education in 1988. She retired from Montgomery Public Schools in 2004 to join her husband in Auburn when he was named the university's interim president.
